TEXTILE SCULPTURE
Sculptured Wall Art
This is a piece that took me from the loom into basketry.
I love working with raw reeds while reaching a flow by combining natural materials with man-made fibre.
material: Swamp reeds and plastic "danger tape" woven in basketry technique.

Dancing Horse Spirit
Head Dress
"Dancing Horse Spirit" head dress was originally made for my daughter Tracey to wear in a dance at the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts. I reconstructed it and added real horse hair, and a mane of coloured nylon cloth strips with copper strips. The stand is made of birch bark, and is on wheels.

Talons and Bones
For years I have been fascinated with the skulls, bones, and items
I have found in my deep woods walks. This is a small offering
to those fallen in the cycle of life.
